An Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) implements behavioral programs under professional supervision and records data to support progress monitoring.

Daily responsibilities

Tasks include following teaching procedures, documenting responses, supporting practice across settings and collaborating with the team and family.

Preparing for practice

Preparation combines foundational knowledge, practical training and appropriate supervision. Completing a course alone is different from meeting a credentialing body’s requirements; review those requirements before choosing a pathway.
